Where it all started…
The littlest guy on the left
Master Shi started learning at the age 7 from his master, Master Shi De Yang.
Master Shi soon became the youngest member of the Shaolin performance team, sharing his martial arts throughout China and internationally.
He grew his skills learning the Shaolin curriculum, which encompasses both hard and soft kung fu, qigong, and the many hand and weapon forms developed over the centuries.
With His beloved Master…
Master Shi De Yang, who is a Buddhist priest and is the 31st Grand Master of the fighting monks (wǔsēng 武僧) of the Shaolin Monastery, Master Shi De Yang is globally considered one of the greatest present exponents of traditional Shaolin culture.
Sharing his skills with others…
As the youngest, accredited, martial arts coach by the Chinese authorities at that time, Master Shi began teaching at the age of 17, coaching both students on his performance teams at the Shaolin temple school and international students as well.
Master Shi came to the U.S. as part of a cultural exchange program in 2013. From Atlanta to the Chicagoland area, he has instructed students of all ages from 5 - 75+ years old.
In his American journey, he is resolved to share Shaolin kung fu and its brother discipline of Meditation.
Whether he is helping individuals meet their training goals, choreographing martial arts performances, or preparing champions for competitions, meditation is his cornerstone for centering and bringing spiritual perspective.
He promotes a lifestyle that brings wholistic health.
